Brainerd Area Man Charged With 2nd Degree Murder Of Daughter’s Boyfriend

A Brainerd area man has been charged with 2nd degree murder after 23-year-old Bryce Brogle went missing on Friday, October 28th.

Michael LaFlex was charged with 2nd degree murder after Brogole had gone missing after visiting a storage unit that was being rented by Laflex on October 26th. Laflex was arrested on suspicion of 2nd degree murder as the result of the ensuing investigation.

A body has been recovered and is believed to be Brogle, according to the press release.

Crow Wing County Sheriff Scott Goddard reports that on October 28, 2022, the Sheriff’s Office received a missing person report of a 23-year-old male, Bryce Brogle. Brogle was last seen leaving a residence in Center Township on October 26, 2022. The reporting party stated Bryce Brogle had gone missing after going to a storage unit rented by Michael Laflex in Crow Wing County.

As a result of the ensuing investigation, Michael Laflex was arrested on suspicion of 2nd-degree murder. A body has been recovered and is believed to be Bryce Brogle. The body has been transported to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s office for Autopsy. This matter has been referred to the Crow Wing County Attorney’s Office for charges.

The Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and the Crow Wing County Drone team.
