As women in the Brainerd Lakes area prepare for the upcoming Clear Vision With Confidence event at Cragun’s with Keynote Speaker, Rachel Cruz, I thought you may like to know a little bit more about the LOCAL panel speakers that will also be gracing the stage (there will be four of them)…all in support of Confidence Learning Center.

Meet Kim Ellingson.

Kim Ellingson grew up in the Twin Cities area but traveled north after high school where she attended Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota.  It was there that she garnered her business degree and met her husband, David.  After a few years in the Fargo-Moorhead community, he convinced her to pack up and move back to where he grew up – the Brainerd Lakes area – which is where they have been for over 25 years.  Kim and Dave are proud to have raised their children, now 24 and 22, in Brainerd where they spent years around the hockey rink, soccer and softball fields.  Kim serves as the Region President of North Central Minnesota for Bremer Bank, an organization in which she has been collaborating with clients for over 20 years.  Kim’s work at Bremer allows her to lead a team in providing solutions to help individuals and businesses navigate financial challenges and opportunities.

Kim has volunteered for several nonprofit entities over the years, most recently serving as the Vice Chair and Trustee for the Initiative Foundation and on Trinity Children’s Center ministry team.  Past community involvement includes ISD 181, the Brainerd Lakes Area Chambers of Commerce and Sertoma Club.

Kim’s passion continues to be fostering the minds of our youngest citizens, empowerment of women, and being committed to the economic growth of our community. Kim and her husband spend time enjoying the splendors of the Brainerd lakes area and travel to new locales when they are able.
