The City of Brainerd Parks & Rec Department will hold its annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 16th at Gregory Park from 10:00-11:00. The FREE event is geared for children ages 2 to 9 and will feature different areas for different age groups. Bring a basket or a bag to collect the eggs. The Brainerd Lakes Area Women of Today and ECFE will host an Easter Party on Sat. Apr. 16 from 10:00-12:00 at the Warrior Early Learning Center on Fairview Road in Baxter. Kids can stop by and make some crafts, frost Easter cookies, enjoy some Easter games and face painting…and have their pictures taken with real LIVE bunnies! The cost is $3 per child and adults are free with the donation of a non-perishable food item! Money raised will be donated to the ECFE Scholarship Fund.
Bring your pup to the Easter Ball Hunt at Buster Park – A Playground for Dogs in Brainerd on Saturday, April 16th from 2:00-3:00 where you pooch will be able to go for a walk and “hunt” for tennis balls! The hunt will start at 2:00 at Buster Park, then search on the trail around Boom Lake and Buffalo Hills Trail. There’s a chance to win prizes. The event is free to attend. All dogs must be on a leash. Please bring a bag to collect the balls… and supplies to clean up after your dog, if needed.
A Community Egg Hunt will be held in Pequot Lakes at the Trailside Center (on Rasmussen Road just south of downtown PL/attached to Pequot Lakes Baptist Church) on Saturday, April 16th from 10:00-11:00. Everything will be outside this year (unless there is inclement weather). At 9:45, kids will go through a line to their age group area and will receive a gift. There will be about 6,000 eggs divided between the 3 search areas (by age). Bring your camera because the Easter Bunny will be there for photos! The Annual Children’s Easter Egg Hunt in Nisswa will take place starting at 10:00 on Saturday, April 16th at the Nisswa American Legion. Bring your kids to visit with the Easter Bunny and hunt for eggs. Open to all kids ages 11 and under. Learn more online via Facebook and search for the event.

Trinity Community Easter Egg Hunt hosted by Trinity Lutheran Church’s Children’s Ministry will host its “Seek and You Will Find Easter Egg Hunt” on Sat. Apr. 16th at 10:00 a.m. There will be many prizes, age divisions, and fun for the whole family! Remember to bring your own basket or bag and meet in the church parking lot!
Pine Grove Zoo in Little Falls is excited to offer a “Golden Egg Hunt” on Sun. Apr. 17th from 9:00-4:00. Regular admission to the zoo applies to those who wish to participate. A golden egg will be hidden in one of the animal habitats. All you need to do is let the admissions attendant know where you spotted the golden egg and you’ll be entered to win a unique animal encounter at the zoo – which could be with a kangaroo, tiger, river otter, a primate, bear or sloth!
