Classic Twins Games Can Be Heard On Cool 103.5

If you’re in the mood for some Twins baseball on the radio, Cool 103.5 is the station to listen to.

The Minnesota Twins have made the original broadcasts of some classic Twins games available to their radio affiliates. Cool 103.5, your radio home of the Twins here in the Brainerd Lakes area, will air these games on Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights beginning at 7:00pm.

You’ll hear the All Star game played at Metropolitan Stadium on July 13th, 1965.  Harmon Killebrew rocked the house when he hit a 2 run home run to tie the game in the 5th inning. You’ll hear the Twins beat the Dodgers in  game one of the 1965 World Series.  It was October the 6th of 65 and Mudcat Grant outpitched Don Drysdale for the win.

And what could be more fun than listening to the mellow baritone of Herb Carneal as he calls all seven games of both the 1987 and 1991 World Series.

You’ll hear them all on Cool.

“Ladies and gentlemen…now batting…number 34…Kirbyyyyyyyyy Puckett.” Yes baseball fans, it’ll be a while before the current of crop of Twins take the field to lay some “bomba” on American League pitchers.

But, what better distraction than to tune in to some classic Twins games.
