Costco has announced it will be enacting new store policies starting next week to protect employees and customers from the novel coronavirus.
The wholesale retailer, which has a location in Baxter, says that starting Monday, May 4th, all customers will be required to wear face masks or face coverings at ALL TIMES while inside its stores. Some stores will also only be open to customers who are 60 and older from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. KSTP-TV reports that the face-covering requirement does not apply to children younger than 2 years old or people who can’t wear a face mask due to a medical condition. Costco says this move in not a substitute for social distancing. Social distancing will also still be a policy. A full list of COVID-19 policies can be found on Costco’s website.
