We are just learning that the Fond du Lac Ojibwe School in Cloquet is on lockdown due to a nearby shooting.
The report says that police responded to a shooting near the intersection of University and Airport roads just after 10:00 this morning (10/18/19). As of 11:00, the area was still being secured and authorities were still trying to apprehend a suspect involved in the shooting, which took place at the Fond du Lac Tribal Center. WDIO-TV in Duluth is reporting that although many schools are closed for the Minnesota Educator Academy Conference, the Fond du Lac school’s calendar indicates regular classes are in session today (Friday, 10/18). No other details are known at this time.
