While making your plans for the MEA break in the Brainerd Lakes Area, you may like to know that Aitkin County Public Health is working in cooperation with the Minnesota Department of Health, the Minnesota State Emergency Operations Center, and the Minnesota National Guard to host a multi-day COVID-19 Community Testing Site.
Testing will be available FREE OF CHARGE for anyone who who wants to get a test.
Testing will take place at The Journey North Church in Aitkin, on:
- Tuesday, October 13th from 12:00 – 6:00 p.m.
- Wednesday, October 14th from 12:00-6:00 p.m.
- Thursday, October 15th from 12:00-3:00 p.m.
The MDH says the test is a mid-nasal cavity swab, so it is only about 1 inch into the nose. You can REGISTER for a test during the event here. Or learn more about other testing sites in Minnesota here.
