
A man reportedly blew his own hand off this past weekend in Emily, Minnesota with some homemade explosives.
According to a press release from the Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded on May 12th around 5 pm to a report that a man had blown his own hand off in Emily. When deputies arrived, they found an adult male with extensive injuries to his left hand due to homemade explosives. The man was given first aid from the deputies until ambulance personnel arrived. The man injured was then flown out to St. Cloud Hospital.
It was discovered that there were more explosive materials around the residence. Crow Wing County Bomb Squad was called to the scene and secured the area. The residence was located at: 42000 block of CR #36, Emily, MN.
