With an original goal of well over $100,000 to raise this year for the 2020 Brainerd Lakes Area Walk to End Alzheimer’s, and then the pandemic hit, organizers were obviously expecting much less to come in this year for the cause.
HOWEVER, thanks to an outpouring of community support, we have made it to just about $98,000 and NOW we have an exciting matching gift opportunity for the Brainerd Lakes Area Walk to End Alzheimer’s thanks to a generous gift by a local Brainerd area donor!
Any donations to the Walk made between now and 11:59 PM Wednesday, November 5th, 2020 will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to a total of $1,500 in honor of Julie and Bill Gulliford.
That could get us OVER $100,000 which would be (AND WILL BE, I believe) AMAZING! Please, if you can give at this time, do so. I’ll be making an additional donation to gratefully take advantage of this gift!
Donations can be made online at act.alz.org/brainerd
If you’d like to make a donation to a specific team – like MINE (Team Tess Taylor) – it will be matched there as well! Click here to donate to Team Tess Taylor!
Checks can also be mailed with a note that the donation is for the Brainerd Lakes Area Walk.
Mailed checks need to be received by November 5th in order to be matched. They can be mailed to:
7900 W. 78th St.
Minneapolis, MN 55439
Thank you so much to the person who is presenting this match in honor of the Gullifords, and to all who have already donated, we appreciate you and your generosity! Please know the funds raised will provide much needed research as well as services to those living with Alzheimer’s disease. Let’s do this! Thank you!
