Hey,

My name is Mickey and I thought I’d try on my new Halloween outfit.  I’ll be wearing it and helping to answer the door when those who trick or treat come walking down my street.  I like this outfit because it isn’t in my face.  Hey, a smile like mine needs to be seen.

By the way, I’m doing pretty well in dealing with my diabetes.  I was diagnosed this summer and have had to endure two daily needle pricks in the back ever since.  The last time I visited the vet (the poke and prod place), my numbers (whatever that means) looked good. Hey, it’s not so ruff.

However, I’m pretty sure that I won’t be indulging in any of those Halloween treats.  No sweets for the sweet.

Even if you don’t make it to my neighborhood, I’d like to wish ya a happy Halloween.

Oh, by the way, don’t forget that when you’re in need of someone to love, your local pet shelter is a great place to find a new friend.  I was being well cared for at H. A.R.T. (The Heartland Animal Rescue Team) when Mom walked in and fell in love with me. It’s my smile that got to her. Ya gotta know how to work it.
