
According to the Brainerd Dispatch, the Minnesota Adult and Teen Challenge (MNTC) facility in Brainerd has reported a confirmed case of COVID-19.
The MNTC facility said that they were notified on Saturday, March 28th that they had a client who had a confirmed case of COVID-19. The patient was taken to Essentia Health-St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd after the assessment. Afterwards it was reported that the patient was released to a family member and is currently in isolation at home.
The Center Director for the MNTC facility, Sam Anderson, was quoted as saying:
“At Mn Adult and Teen Challenge, we care deeply about our community and the health and well-being of our clients, staff members, also their families and our broader community. The people we serve are here because they have a serious addiction and they need our help. We are taking all proactive safety measures while continuing to offer excellent care and treatment to support our clients as they seek freedom from addiction.”
