Minnesota Department Of Health Announces 2nd Death In Minnesota Due To COVID-19

The Minnesota Department of Health has reported 59 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total to 346 including the second death.

The MDH Public Health Lab has processed 6,849 tests, and private labs have completed 6,101 tests — private lab test totals had not been reported prior to Wednesday. Two Minnesotans have died from the disease. According to MDH, the second death involved a patient from Ramsey County who was in their 80s.

“We share our condolences with the family and friends of the deceased person, and we will continue to work hard to prevent additional illnesses and deaths in Minnesota,” MDH said in a statement.
