We gather together with those who mean the most to us.
Tis the season for family and friends to congregate round that holiday table.
Let’s concentrate on those things that bind us together. Let’s remember the moments that made us laugh and cry together. Let’s toast the host and compliment those who slow cooked that turkey to perfection. And, especially those who believe that there’s no such thing as too much brown sugar on the yams. And, most especially, those who don’t skimp on the cool whip when it’s time for pie. A very generous dollop (or two) will do nicely. Thank you.
We needn’t agree with everyone who’s part of our circle. We need only agree to avoid those topics that may lead to indigestion.
Those who lean to the left and those who lean to the right will have plenty of time to attempt to get one another straightened out. Let’s just save those thoughts for another day.
