I was out doing some yard work when a yelp from the backyard reminded me that Mickey (our Corgi) had also fallin’ victim to the falling Oak nuts.
Yes, the acorn is the Oak nut and it’s a feast for the Squirrels.
For the mighty Oak it’s “bombs away time” and I’m told that a single mature Oak can drop as many as 10,000 “nuts” in a single season.
Several of them have found my noggin.
