Thunderstorms have been raging through Minnesota for the past week.
Yes, they can be scary.
They can also be beautiful.
Take note of the photo taken by my daughter. She captured this shot of the backside of a storm cell as it rolled away from her neighborhood on the north side of the twin cities. Moments before, it had been a grey and unruly mass of energy roaring its way through the north side suburbs. Now, as it passed to the east, it was a sunlit mountain of evolving colors and textures.
These storms are billowing towers of power that can build up to heights of over 50,000 feet.
We should all maintain a healthy respect for their damaging potential. But, we can’t help but marvel at these displays of mother natures might.
