‘Toys For Kids’ Helps Brainerd Lakes Area Kids Have A Merry Christmas

It’s time, once again, for the annual Toys For Kids program to collect toys for children in need this upcoming holiday season.

The Heartland Detachment Marine, Inc. Marine Corp League has been collecting toys for LOCAL children for years and are hoping we call can help.  Hubbard Radio Brainerd is one of the locations in the Lakes Area where you can drop off your donation of a new, unwrapped toy.

The primary dates for the collection of toys started November 11th, 2019 and will collect until December 19th, 2019.  Volunteers will distribute the gifts to kids starting on December 19th as well.  The Toys for Kids Program distributes toys, games and cosmetics (for the older kids) only.  They do not distribute clothing.

I hosted a Ladies Night event at Sherwood Forest in Nisswa on Thursday (11/21/19) where nearly 50 women made toy or monetary donations.  The photos taken for this blog was the haul they generously donated.  Darn-near needed a bigger vehicle!  Thank you to Sherwood Forest, Tito’s Handmade Vodka and to the LADIES who made the night a success for the Toys For Kids program this year.  Bless you all!

These toys will be hauled to the “sorting and distribution center,” so there will be room for you to bring your toys to the radio station.  We are at 13225 Dogwood Drive in Baxter.  Whatever you can do to help these kiddos this season, please do.  Checks can also be written (to:  Toys For Kids) and dropped off or mailed to the Marine Corp League at P.O. Box 2811, Baxter, MN 56425.
