You’ve gotta love this viral video of actor Jerry O’Connell singing Prince’s “When Doves Cry” to his kids while trying to convince them “it’s a good song”.
The kids look like they are in pain, but it sure is funny! One thing made me laugh was that I do the same thing to my daughter when it comes to 80’s songs. She is six and not amused. Then, I heard Jerry say, “….maybe I’m just like my father, too BALD.” Ummm, say WHAT? Have I been singing it incorrectly or did HE? Yes, I Googled the lyrics and, THANK GOD.. I have been singing it CORRECTLY! It’s “too BOLD.” Whew. Jerry, my man… bless you “teaching your kids”.
Now, teach them the correct lyrics!

(Lyrics for When Does Cry – Prince)
“……How can you just leave me standing?
Alone in a world that’s so cold (so cold)
Maybe I’m just too demanding
Maybe I’m just like my father, too bold
Maybe you’re just like my mother
She’s never satisfied (she’s never satisfied)
Why do we scream at each other?
This is what it sounds like
When doves cry……”
Whew. I have not been living a lie.
