Depending upon what COVID-19 related delays may arise, work on Wadena US Highway 10 reconstruction should commence as scheduled on Monday.

According to the Minnesota Department of Transportation, the project will be a summer-long undertaking designed to deliver a widened driving surface with a new concrete median, enhanced lighting and traffic signals, upgraded rail crossings and improved sidewalks.   Redesigned storm sewers will be an additional benefit, albeit one less visible to the public.

MnDOT’s published information states that Highway 10 traffic through Wadena should proceed during construction with some necessary adjustments.   Access to and from the route via US Highway 71 will involve detours.
